OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

The mounting procedure requires no specific knowledge or skills.

I. The BR-14 Digital Bird Repeller can be mounted on a pole of any shape and material. For mechanical installation use the designated mounting openings and the included mounting hardware. The unit is usually mounted in a central position of the controlled area. The speakers are unfolded to their highest extend upwards as to ensure proper sound diffusion. Before switching the device on, make sure that the volume knob is set to minimum (counterclockwise).
II. Connect the power supply cable to the power supply terminal of the unit, select one of the following options, depending on your chosen working mode:

--for power adapter mode: connect the unit to a 220V power supply.

ATTENTION! THE POWER ADAPTER IS FOR INDOOR USE ONLY!

--for battery mode: attach the clips to the accumulator. Connect the red clip to “+” (positive) accumulator terminal, and the black clip to “-“ (negative) accumulator terminal. Use a 12V battery with a capacity of at least 45Ah. Approximate durability of the battery on average is 5-10 days. Length of battery life varies, depending on working conditions and time and sound adjustments. For utmost performance of the unit we recommend setting the volume knob to be turned all the way up and the time setting knob to be set on ½ of the knob’s range, approximately 10-15 min.

If you have accurately completed all the steps mentioned above the green indication light switches on. Turn the volume setting knob clockwise to extended maximum (position 2). In approximately six minutes the unit switches on.

ATTENTION! WHEN THE UNIT IS ON DO NOT STAND CLOSE TO IT! THE HIGH VOLUME COULD CAUSE SEVERE HEARING DAMAGE!

After initial start up, use the volume setting knob for adjusting the desired volume and time period. The time period between sound sessions is approximately seven minutes. The photocell element, “Sensor”, monitor illumination changes. When surrounding illumination decreases (exp: sunset) the unit switches to night mode. This means that during the night the repeller is in standby mode, because the birds are inactive. “Low Bat” indication initiates when the battery is diluted (only when battery power supply is used). When this indication is activated the unit gives out an audible alert signal every 10 min. However, the normal operation of the unit is not affected. The system can operate in “Low Bat” mode for a maximum period of two hours. After this period of time the unit will automatically switch to standby mode (would not work until the battery is recharged or replaced). When the unit is in standby mode due to lowered illumination or with low battery the sound alert will not activate. This will keep the battery from being fully depleated.


ATTENTION!

For power supply use only the original adapter or accumulator (for accumulator mode use power cable included in the kit) Avoid mechanical shock, hitting, dropping etc. of the unit
Do not open the unit as well as the power adapter
Do not use the unit and/or the adapter if there are any mechanical damages or/and missing parts.
Do not replace the power cable fuse with fuse different than the original, in accumulator mode.
